Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-02
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of RenewalCheck.io (the “Service”), operated by RenewalCheck(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
RenewalCheck.io is an independent tool that provides general information and informational estimates about Microsoft licensing, renewals, true-ups, and related topics. Outputs — including cost ranges, plan comparisons, and agreement-vehicle recommendations — are estimates and general information only. They are not quotes, and prices, programs, and policies change.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for business and professional use. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Not professional, legal, tax, or financial advice
The Service does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, or other professional advice, and no attorney–client or other professional relationship is created by your use of it. Information is provided for general guidance only.
You are responsible for independently verifying any figure, program rule, or recommendation — including by obtaining an official quote from Microsoft or an authorized reseller and consulting qualified professional advisors — before making any decision. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and their outcomes.
4. No affiliation with Microsoft
RenewalCheck.io is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft. References to Microsoft products and programs are nominative and factual only. Microsoft and Microsoft product names are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.
5. Accounts and billing
Some features require an account. You are responsible for the information you provide and for activity under your account. Paid subscriptions are billed through our third-party payment processor (Stripe); your purchase is also subject to that processor’s terms. Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are described at the point of purchase. [PLACEHOLDER: refund / cancellation policy to be confirmed by counsel.]
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or third-party right;
- scrape, resell, or systematically extract the Service’s content except as expressly permitted;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
- rely on outputs as a substitute for professional advice or an official Microsoft quote.
7. Benchmark data and feedback
The Service may invite you to contribute de-identified pricing data (for example, the structured price points you enter into a calculator) and feedback. Contribution is optional and on by default; you may opt out at any time using the control in the tool.
When you contribute, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, store, reproduce, and process that de-identified data and feedback to operate and improve the Service, including to create aggregated benchmarks. You represent that you are permitted to share the pricing information you submit and that doing so does not breach any confidentiality obligation. The aggregated, de-identified benchmarks we generate are our intellectual property. We handle this data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including our original text, design, software, and the arrangement of content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We summarise publicly available facts in our own words and link to original sources; we do not reproduce third-party proprietary content. All third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any estimate, price, or recommendation is accurate, current, complete, or suitable for your situation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will RenewalCheck, its operators, or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, or goodwill, or for any amounts you paid or committed to a third party (including Microsoft) in reliance on the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). [PLACEHOLDER: confirm cap and any jurisdiction-specific carve-outs with counsel.]
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
